Chew a piece of gum every time you feel the urge to smoke, up to 15 gums per day. Chew it slowly until a strong taste is released. Stop chewing and rest the gum between your mouth?s jaw and cheek. The nicotine is absorbed by your mouth?s lining.
After the taste has faded, resume chewing the gum until the taste becomes strong again. Chewing activates the nicotine release. Continue this process for 30 minutes.
